Food and Health Fact #50: TV viewing while eating and obesity incidence

A study by two Ohio State University professors compared the incidence of obesity among more than 12,000 adults in Ohio who always watched TV during family meals compared to those who never did. The TV viewers had 37 percent higher odds of obesity. The study was published in 2017 in The Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
