Food and Health Fact #3: Obesity and Covid-19

A recent meta-analysis of 75 English and Chinese language studies, focused on individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19, shows that the individuals with obesity are 113 percent more likely to need hospitalization than those who are not obese, 74 percent more likely to be admitted to an intensive care unit, and 48 percent more likely to die.
